The October Issue is a celebration of freedom – to be who we are, to revel in our beautiful imperfections, to be audacious. It’s dedicated to those readers who are constantly evolving; for those who, despite the odds, choose to remain in a place of curiosity and wonder. As such, the magazine cover calls for a meaningful, groundbreaking and intentional figure – and we’re extremely honoured to have literary heavyweight, gender equality advocate and fashion icon, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie gracing our cover!

This time, we’ve made a different, braver magazine for you. Although this quarter is usually about the fashion euphoria – where we reveal runway trends and all the ‘it’ things you should know about – we’ve made the unique decision, in this issue, to focus on the talent and the important people behind-the-scenes that play key roles within the African fashion industry. This edition cares and dares to celebrate creatives who embody authenticity and excellence, and whose stories of hard work and perseverance give us hope and inspiration.
