BURNA BOY’S PERFORMANCE AT THE TOGETHER AT HOME CONCERT BECOMES THE MOST SHAZAMED

In a bid to support the frontline workers during this global pandemic, Global Citizen in collaboration with Lady Gaga put together a one of its kind digital worldwide concert. The concert featured musicians from across the world, like, Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion, Maluma and Nigeria’s Burna Boy, among a long list of others, it also had special appearances from top Hollywood stars with Lupita Nyong’o being one of them. Global Citizen also announced that $127million was raised through the 8-hour long concert towards COVID-19 relief.

Performing two of his songs ‘African Giant’ and ‘Hallelujah’ to millions of viewers across the world from his home, It has been reported that Burna Boy’s performance has become the highest ‘Shazamed’ performance from the concert. It is clear to say, the Nigerian musician through the relief concert got a platform to sell his music to a larger audience and garnered more international fans.
