BEYONCÉ’S MUSIC VIDEO FOR DISNEY’S ‘SPIRIT’ IS AN ARTISTIC MASTERPIECE

It’s nothing but excellence with Beyoncé, and this icon only gets better with time. The Lion King mania continues, this time with an official music video release from Queen Bee and Disney. The visuals for one of the film’s (already) hit soundtracks, Spirit, includes full scenes from the highly-anticipated movie, a totally captivating Beyoncé and even an appearance from little Blue Ivy.

The video premiered during an ABC News special, in which Beyoncé sat for an interview about the upcoming album she carefully curated for the film. “This soundtrack is a love letter to Africa,” she said in the interview.

This album includes Nigerian artists such as Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Mr Eazi, Yemi Alade, Tekno and more. Speaking on why she (rightfully) chose to include some of Africa’s biggest entertainers in the project, she said, “I wished it to be genuine to what’s stunning concerning the music in Africa [a]nd I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa, and not just use some of the sounds and did my interpretation of it.”
