One of the shows with the wittiest and no-holds-barred comebacks, Suits, has just premiered its 9^th and final season. Suits fans can agree to the emotional rollercoaster that the show has brought, from Jessica Pearson leaving the firm, to Rachael and Mike’s exit from the show and the numerous cliff-hangers, like when we thought Pearson-Specter was done after Mike went to prison, precious times!

There is some good news however, for some time now, we have anticipated one of the spinoffs from the original and it’s here!!! Pearson, the spinoff would follow the life of Jessica Pearson (played by Gina Torres) and her journey after leaving Pearson-Specter, although we are not sure if there would be a Suits-Pearson crossover, it would definitely be worth the exploration.

INSPIRATION MEETS RED CARPET AT MET GALA 2019

WHAT IS THE MET GALA ABOUT?

The Met Gala is a Costume fundraiser event to support the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, New York. The Met Gala is used to mark the beginning of the Institute’s annual exhibit; the exhibit has a theme yearly which is also incorporated as the dress theme for guests of the Met Gala.

WHAT IS THE MET GALA THEME?

The theme for this year’s Met Gala is “Camp: Notes on Fashion”, the exhibition’s theme’s framework is illustrated in Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay “Notes on ‘Camp’”; the theme is described as “an aesthetic style and sensibility that regards something as appealing because of its bad taste and ironic value”.

SOME STYLE INSPIRATIONS FROM THE MET GALA

ZENDAYA

All hail Zendaya in this Cinderella inspired costume, this costume was a performance on its own and we are here for the iconic glass slipper drop, a tribute to the Disney Classic.

BILLY PORTER

“Go big or go home” was Billy Porter’s subtle yet loud statement with this “Pharaoh” inspired entrance with a Sedan Chair/Litter.

CIARA

Big hair, cut outs and a thigh high slit, Ciara stunned in this Coming To America “Imani Izzi” inspired look.

KIM KARDASHIAN

Kim Kardashian took the word “literally” to a whole new level with this “Wet Look”. Her nude dress and faux nails were embellished with crystals resembling water droplets.

Janelle Monae takes wearing art to a whole new level with her Picasso surrealism “African Mask” inspired look.
