LITERALLY EVERYONE WAS AT THE GRAND OPENING OF TYLER PERRY STUDIOS IN ATLANTA

It was a well-deserved night of #BlackExcellence as filmmaker extraordinare, Tyler Perry unvelied his new 330-acre film studio, in the heart of Georgia, USA. Perry has become the first African-American to outright own a major film production studio.

The landmark studio, which (significantly) once served as a Confederate army base, features 12 soundstages named after influential black actors, including Denzel Washington and the late Diahann Carroll. ???I think it???s pivotal in everything that we???ve done, everything that we???re doing still, that we continue to try to motivate and inspire people,??? said the man of the hour in an interview.

The historic night drew the likes of Beyonc??, Spike Lee, Samuel L. Jackson, and Oprah Winfrey. See the red carpet photos below:
