Peju Famojure has, by far, one of the most enviable Instagram feeds. When she’s not travelling the world with Beyoncé, the acclaimed ‘cool girl stylist’ is taking steamy poolside snaps in Rajasthan (India) and enjoying the sights and sounds on the streets of Mexico City. It’s pretty much our collective dream on one timeline.
In a fun interview in our Fashion Issue, we catch up with the New York-born stylist to the stars and travel connoisseur, to chat about what inspires her to visit a new country, her typical travel itinerary and some major travel fashion do’s and dont’s.
See some excerpts from her interview below:
What city do you think best represents your style?
New York City best represents my style. I was born and raised here and it has really informed how I view fashion. It’s just a vehicle for expression; it can communicate so many moods, and in this city, you go through many of them.
What inspires you most to visit a new country?
I am most inspired by cities in countries that vibrate a lot of energy, whether that’s through the vibrancy of the nightlife, the connectedness to the sea/ocean, or the spirituality of the people.
What are 3 countries everyone should visit, at least once, in their lifetime?
Brazil, Japan and Italy top the list for me.
