For a lot of us, the past few months have been one of the loneliest (and weirdest) times, with isolation and distancing being our new reality. With so much me-time, it’s easy to miss the good old days where ‘TGIF’ actually meant something. However, there are still many ways to enjoy time – or at least survive – alone, whatever day of the week it is.

Here are a few ideas for the perfect Friday night in:

Bring the Restaurant Home

Maybe you were the Queen of Friday night dinners pre-quarantine, but you can still bring the restaurant to you. Order a fancy meal, set the table and enjoy dinner as if you were sat at your favourite restaurant.

Plan a Zoom Date Night

Either with friends, family or a partner, a Friday night-in is perfect for an online dinner date. Play games, tell jokes and just catch up on things with a glass of wine in hand.

Netflix It

How about a re-run of your favourite classic series? Or you could go for a different genre – e.g. try enjoying a good documentary instead of watching a film. Explore your options.

Pamper Yourself

You’ve had a busy week and probably haven’t had time to take care of yourself, so get that skincare routine you’ve been putting off going, wear a face mask with your best PJs on, stay longer in the shower while listening to music… anything that will help you relax.

Re-Read Your Favourites

If you are an avid reader, you could select one of your most treasured books and get stuck in. Get comfy on the couch, have your snacks by the side and read on.

Have an Early Night

Sometimes, all you just need is an early bedtime and that’s perfectly fine. Enjoy a quality night’s sleep and who knows, next Friday, you could be up for trying something off this list!
