INTRODUCING SCHICK’S FIRST-EVER DIGITAL COVER, FEATURING THE UNSHAKEABLE, UNAPOLOGETIC CUPPY!

Cuppy???s gone vegan. She tells me this during a laid-back interview on Zoom, where we???re chatting about everything, from business and success to her philanthropic work and making a mark. She made the decision to do this while in quarantine with her dad at their London home in June. ???Veganism is great. I actually made a Mushroom Egusi the other day and I???m very proud of it! I didn???t make it on my own but it tasted delicious.??? We have a quick laugh about this for a few seconds and then take a moment to discuss why this is actually important to her. ???Veganism, for me, is something that???s here to stay and I just noticed I???m feeling so much better, so much more positive and energetic, and it feels good that I???m actually doing something to help the welfare of animals.???

There???s so much to talk about with the Nigerian-born, London-based DJ and producer, born Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola in 1992, and it certainly helps that she???s incredibly bubbly, open and passionate about her life and work. Taking it back a few decades, we discuss her days growing up in Lagos. ???I come from a very entrepreneurial, ambitious family and I had the most exciting childhood ever. My parents did not give me one second of free time ??? from swimming lessons to learning to play the piano, to Yoruba and cooking lessons.??? Though that may have seemed overwhelming as a little child, Cuppy reveals she appreciates the opportunities she???s had to grow as an individual. ???[My parents] were very proactive and they were very supportive. I wanted to be an ice skater once, and they said: Great, let???s do that! When I wanted to become a tennis player, their response was: Let???s do that! My parents, despite being very busy, were very invested in us as children.???
