The??HeinekenLFDW (Heineken Lagos Fashion and Design Week),??Autumn/Winter season Presentation at??Red Door Gallery??entitled?????identity????? was a fabulous experience. The event ran from 31st of March to the 2nd of April 2017 and SCHICK Magazine was exclusively present to cover the occasion.

Fashion met Art with??AAKS, Gozel Green, Kelechi Odu, Lisa Folawiyo, Maki Oh,??Orange Culture,??Post Imperial,??R????and??Shem Paronelli??as they showcased their Autumn/Winter collections.

???Identity???????explored how fashion??is expressed??in the Nigerian society and how the difficulties??of producing locally affect the way in which??it is expressed. Each designer was designated space in which they could??distill these and other themes further, engage directly with guests, buyers or editors and most pertinently, present their 2017 Collections.

There was also a??screening of ???Eko For Show??History of Lagos Fashion???, ??a fashion??documentary by Bolaji Kekere-Ekun, Francesca Tiller-Gyado, and Sesu Tilley-Gyado. The documentary explores the origins of Lagos Fashion, the traditional fabrics such as Adire and Aso-Oke and the historical events that shaped the ever-evolving Lagos fashion scene into what it has become today.
