What does the future hold for fashion after the COVID-19 pandemic? Amidst conversations about the impact the virus will have on the world moving forward, some notable names in the industry are already a few steps ahead. One of them is South African fashion designer, David Tlale, who presented his Autumn-Winter 20/21 collection to the world with a pre-recorded virtual fashion show.
According to the fashion house, the “Classica Icons” collection, “serves as a call-to-action for the local Clothing and Textile Industry and the fashion community at large to help amplify and bring awareness to business sustainability in South Africa, and encourage adherence to the set ‘National Lockdown’ regulations.”
Further, they believe this will encourage “new ways of presenting craftsmanship and creativity of David Tlale’s signature trailblazing approach to fashion, promising to inspire “Africa and Global Trends” in this coming Season.”
The Classica Icons collection will feature signature David Tlale styles and patterns, and show off the exquisite craftsmanship the designer is well known for around Africa.
