POLL: 50% OF OUR FOLLOWERS THINK THE TEENY-WEENY HANDBAG TREND NEEDS TO GO IN 2020

In case you’re just sick of seeing tiny handbags on the runway, red carpet and in fashion campaigns, you’re not – at all – alone. French designer, Jacquemus kicked off Paris Fashion Week with the eponymous brand’s autumn/winter 2019 show and introduced us to the accessory of the year, the ???Mini Le Chiquito??? bag – which is so tiny, it can’t even carry your bank card.

Seeing as this design was not the most practical trend for everyday women (it’s really more of a masterpiece than wearable fashion), designers like Tory Burch and Prada, and on the lower end, ASOS and Fashion Nova began producing the more pragmatic mini bag. It might not be able to fit in everything and the kitchen sink but it’ll do the job.

However, maybe it’s time to let the trend go with 2019? At least that’s what a good 50% of the respondents to our Twitter poll think.

Of all the year’s hottest trends, nearly 27% felt ugly sneakers shouldn’t make it into 2020, whilst 14% think tiny, Ri-Ri esque sunglasses are a no-no, and only 7% weren’t so keen on seeing bucket hats in the new year.
