We are proud to announce that finally, the October 2018 issue of SCHICK Magazine is here. This issue is our BIG Fashion Issue! The world celebrates the fashion season in September, but in Africa, the fashion season starts in October!?? SCHICK???s October issue is our biggest and most elaborate body of work of the year and gives you, our readers, a close- up of what???s to come on the fashion scene in the months ahead. This issue provides the ultimate style guide for everything you???ll want to wear, buy and be inspired by as the new season emerges. With that in mind, we were determined very early on to make it a special one. “We have Angolan born, New York-based international supermodel Maria Borges as our cover star! I remember seeing her images splashed all over L???Oreal???s campaign back in 2016 when she was announced as the brand???s Global Ambassador and thought, she???ll make a phenomenal SCHICK cover star someday. After a pleasant run-in with Maria in Cannes, at Naomi Campbell???s Fashion for Relief Charity event in May – here we are! Maria???s a special one ??? not only for her ground-breaking achievements so far, but she has from the on-set, understood what it takes to be successful in her craft, knowing full well that modelling, no matter how glamorous it looks is essentially a business.
