TO CELEBRATE COMMONWEALTH DAY, ANTHONY JOSHUA MEETS THE BRITISH ROYALS

The Commonwealth service held at the Westminster Abbey in England on the 9th of March 2020, the service is an annual celebration observed by countries in the commonwealth all over the world. The celebration includes activities such as church services, flag parades and different performances. The theme for this year’s celebration was ‘Delivering a Common Future’ which is focused on how the member countries “‘innovating, connecting and transforming’ to help achieve some of its biggest goals like protecting natural resources and boosting trade.”

Anthony Joshua, Nigerian-British heavyweight champion, had the privilege of speaking at the celebration and also meeting members of the British Royal family. From a video of his speech, which has now gone viral, Anthony addressed the importance of unity in diversity despite the background of an individual, he also did not hesitate to speak of his heritage Nigeria.
