BEYONCÉ, J LO AND CYNTHIA ERIVO AMONGST NOMINEES FOR THE 2020 GOLDEN GLOBES AWARDS

The 77th ceremony of the Golden Globe Awards will kick off the new year with a bang, honouring the best in film and American television of 2019. Preceeding the event, which will be held on January 5th and hosted by British stand-up comedian Ricky Gervais, the nominees for the prestigious awards have been announced.

Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story tops the list with six nominations, including Best Supporting Actress for American actor and director, Laura Dern, while Beyoncé was nominated for ‘Spirit,’ her original song from The Lion King. This is up against Taylor Swift’s ‘Beautiful Ghosts’ from the 2019 drama/fantasy film, Cats. Hustlers star, Jennifer Lopez has also been nominated for Best Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture.
