Beyoncé via her website has just dropped an album art and tracklist for her upcoming Lion King inspired album “The Gift”; the star-studded 14 track album features a-list artists from Africa like Burna Boy, Mr Eazi, Shatta Wale, Wizkid, Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage and some more. ‘The Gift’ executively produced by Beyoncé.

Regarding the album, the Queen of the Beyhive in a statement released earlier said “I wanted to do more than find a collection of songs that were inspired by the film… It is a mixture of genres and collaboration that isn’t one sound. It is influenced by everything from R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop and Afrobeat… Each song was written to reflect the film’s storytelling that gives the listener a chance to imagine their own imagery while listening to a new contemporary interpretation. It was important that the music was not only performed by the most interesting and talented artists but also produced by the best African producers. Authenticity and heart were important to me

‘The Gift’ will be released on the 19th of July, right after the remake of Lion King drops on the 18th of July. Is it right to say Wakanda forever at this point?
