Today would have been flooded with images of top Hollywood celebrities putting their best foot forward while trying to incorporate the “About Time: Fashion and Duration,” theme to their style on the famous Met Gala carpet. We would all have taken time to access who had the best interpretation for the night and who had the best entrance, it would have been a day to appreciate fashion and art, but we are in different times now and who says we can’t relieve our top moments from the past?

With the Met Gala being postponed indefinitely due to that which should not be mentioned, we have taken time out to put together some of our best looks from previous editions of the biggest annual costume fundraising ball.

We absolutely love how the Duchess of Sussex has recently made elegant fashion statements. In the days leading up to ‘Megxit’, with the Commonwealth’s day service marking their last official engagement as senior royals, the Sussex Royal couple has shown solidarity in many ways, with their fashion choices being the most obvious!

Since becoming a member of the British Royal family, the Duchess has been under so much scrutiny from the media regarding her fashion choices – breaking ‘the royal’ protocol, we definitely can’t wait to see her style evolve post-Megxit.

JENNIFER LOPEZ LAUNCHES EPONYMOUS FOOTWEAR COLLECTION

With fans still reeling from her energetic performance at the Superbowl, JLo announces the launch of her shoe collection to be released on March 16, with 11 styles from the entire collection being available for pre-sale from March 9.

In a released statement, Jenny from the block talks about how the collection is centred on the different cities that represent who she has become; New York, Los Angeles, and Miami. She also talks about how she has always wanted to venture into all of the industries (music, movie and fashion) since the beginning of her career.

The collection is exclusive to DSW and prices range from $59 – $189.

BEYONCÉ CONTINUES TO TEASE FANS WITH NEW PHOTOS FROM THE IVY PARK X ADIDAS COLLECTION

Set to be released on the 18th of January, the much talked about collaboration between the Queen of the Beyhive and sports apparel company, Adidas have released new photos and a video to keep waiting fans excited.

Beyoncé had released some photos late last year that showed some of the products from the soon-to-be-released collection that got her fans ‘wilding out’, this time, she dropped a video featuring K-Pop star, CL alongside models Ebonee Davis and Adonio Bosso.

We can tell you for sure that the colour theme for this collection will be Maroon and Orange with White making appearances as a base colour. The collection would also feature different athleisure styles like leggings, crop tops, hoodies, joggers and more.

Members of the Beyhive are currently decoding hints that the Queen might have dropped from the one-minute clip, like the time on the clock. Anyway, set your reminders for the launch, January 18!

Just as we have seen through the year, popular Sweden clothing retail brand, H&M, has collaborated with a variety of public figures on limited edition collections for interested buyers. This time, the fast-fashion company is collaborating with Brooklyn raised singer, Justine Skye for its 17-piece limited edition collection to be released on the 22^nd of November.

Speaking on how much she enjoyed creating this range of outfits in a released interview, Justine says “Fashion is all about expressing yourself and it was so much fun to put together this collection for you guys to do just that!” and we totally agree with the singer as the pieces from this collection have a striking resemblance to her personal style. She also talks about how her style is influenced by her hometown, Brooklyn and how she likes being confident, cozy and comfortable.

Prices of the collection ranges from $4.99 to $54.99 online and in select H&M stores.

CIRCUS FASHION: THE GTBANK FASHION WEEKEND PRE-EVENT COCKTAIL

To set the tone for the upcoming #GTBankFashionWeekend, the wonderful team at GTB treated guests to a night of extravaganza at its private banking lounge on the 1^st of November. The theme for the night was ‘Circus Fashion’ and it was a night filled with spectacle!

Set a day after Halloween, some guests were able to incorporate costumes from the holiday to the theme of the night. GTB also created the space to match the raree-show, it resembled a theme park with the inclusion of several circus acts, games, dancers and let’s not forget the endless canapés by Fregz-a-porter and cocktails!

We know there’s only one Burna Boy when it comes to African style fusion; but the hit maker has certainly scored extra trend points with his new video, ‘Pull Up’.

The fashion-forward artist and his four model pals push the envelope in this vibrant flick, captured by Meji Alabi for JM Films.

Styled by Romani Ogulu, bright yellow was the hue of the day for Burna. He can be seen donning a trendy yellow jumpsuit and sneakers for his first look, then he switches things up to a laid back yellow shirt, paired with black leather pants and rectangle-frame shades.

Not to be outdone though, are his girlfriends: Aweng Chuol, Camille Munn, NyaLuak Leth, and Chanel Taylor, who can be spotted in a few of our fashion and beauty trend forecasts, from our recent ‘Summer 2019 Issue’ —patent, neon leather, bold eyelids, dewy looks and more – It’s edgy and we’re loving it!
