The 78th annual Golden Globes awards took place early this morning, ushering in the 2021 award season. The award ceremony is usually slated for a date in January, however, due to the effects of Co-vid19; it was moved to a later date. This year, the Golden Globes held a bi-coastal ceremony (in New York and Beverly Hills) with co-hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler holding the forte at their respective venues.

Despite following the Covid-19 protocols, the stars of Hollywood shone so bright as they sported trends such as metallics, frills and feathers. Here are some of the top looks from the red carpet.

The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards was held last night at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, but – as with its contemporaries – it was far from regular programming. American TV host, Jimmy Kimmel hosted the sombre event, where the night’s big winners accepted their awards via Zoom, styrofoam cutouts of celebrities were placed in the empty stands and camera operators were masked.

Zendaya, Uzo Aduba and Julia Garner, amongst several others, bagged some most envy-worthy awards of the nights, but who won big on the virtual red carpet?

The show took its time to pay homage ???to the strength, spirit and incredible resilience of NYC and its beloved residents???, the ceremony was also dedicated to the late Black Panther star, Chadwick Boseman.

To maintain social distancing, the performances were pre-recorded and the red carpet held before the airing of the awards ceremony. Here???s some of the fashion from the VMAs 2020 red carpet.
