The brow beauty industry has seen it all: Bejewelling, highlighting, colouring; but what would the world be if we didn’t attempt to constantly take things to the next level? As a result of our endeavours to outdo, the feather brow was born.
Finnish MUA, Stella Sironen posted the first-known photo of what she’d later call the #featherbrow, in which the arch’s hairs are split down the middle using (wait for it…) a glue stick. This was used to create an effect that resembles barbs diverging along a quill, in a lavish, proud peacock kind of way.
But just how inclined are we – in the real world – to embrace this feathered trend? According to over half of Instagram’s beauty enthusiasts and commentators – Team Ew/Never Gonna Happen – the likelihood that it will catch on is not all that likely.
