It was a night of black excellence at the 14th edition of the BET Awards, on Sunday 23rd June. The BET Award Trophy, inspired by three words: aspire, ascend, achieve, remains committed to celebrating outstanding African Americans, other American minorities and Africans, in the fields of music, acting, sports and entertainment over the past year.
Some of entertainment’s finest were in attendance last night, including renowned filmmaker, Tyler Perry, this year’s award host and actor, Regina Hall, and legendary musician, Mary J. Blige, amongst many others. Nigerian celebrities, such as Burna Boy, Cuppy, Teni and Mr Eazi also made an appearance at the event. See the best looks from the 2019 red carpet.
