BIO: The 24-year-old Cape Verdean sprinter specialises in 100 and 200 metres races. She has competed at a number of international multi-sport competitions such as the Olympics (2012 & 2016), Jeux de la Francophonie, the African Games and many others. She is currently the Cape Verdean record holder for 100-meter sprint.

In 2016, she was named on the 2016 Times list.

BIO: Ms. Awosika currently works as the Chairman of First Bank of Nigeria, she is the first female to hold this position in the company. Ibukun Awosika is also a business woman, an author and a motivational speaker.

BIO: Magatte is a skin care entrepreneur; she is the founder and CEO of Tiossan, a high-end skin care product line that is currently moving production to Senegal. The brand, Tiossan, donates at least ten percent of its profit to the creation of entrepreneurial schools in Senegal.

BIO: Sahle-Work Zewde is an Ethiopian politician and diplomat who is the current President of Ethiopia, the first woman to hold the office. A diplomat, she was elected president unanimously by members of the Federal Parliamentary Assembly on 25 October 2018.

BIO: Dr Dambisa Felicia Moyo is a Zambian-born international economist and author who analyzes the macroeconomy and global affairs. She currently serves on the boards of Barclays Bank, the financial services group, Seagate Technology, Chevron Corporation, the global miner Barrick Gold, and the 3M Company.
She worked for two years at the World Bank and eight years at Goldman Sachs before becoming an author and international public speaker. She has written four New York Times bestselling books like; Dead Aid: Why Aid Is Not Working and How There Is a Better Way for Africa (2009), How the West Was Lost: Fifty Years of Economic Folly-And the Stark Choices that Lie Ahead (2011).

BIO: Iman was born in Mogadishu, Somalia before attending high school in Egypt. She studied political science in Kenya where she was discovered at the University of Nairobi. She is a Somali-American fashion model, actress and entrepreneur who is a pioneer in the field of ethnic cosmetics. She is also known for her charity work.

BIO: Lupita Nyong’o born in 1983 in Mexico City, Mexico, Lupita Nyong’o started acting as a teen in Kenya and went on to work behind the scenes of the film The Constant Gardener. She directed and produced the albinism documentary In My Genes and starred in the TV series Shuga. Nyong’o went on to earn acclaim for her role as Patsey in 12 Years a Slave (2013), for which she won the 2014 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. The following year, she starred in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the Off-Broadway play Eclipsed. The actress also featured prominently in the box office-shattering superhero flick Black Panther (2018).
