Born in Udomi-Uwessan, Edo state, Nigeria, Victor Ehikhamenor has grown to become one of the most widely influential visual artists in the African continent and abroad. Also a photographer and a writer, Ehikhamenor draws his influences from traditional African motifs and religious cosmology. Earlier in 2017, he and three other artists were selected to represent Nigeria at the Art Biennale at the Venice Biennale, an art organization based in Venice which holds contemporary visual arts exhibitions.

Victor has been the cover artist of the 2004 edition of Purple Hibiscus, 2014 movie edition of Half of A Yellow Sun, and the 2014 edition of Americannah, all of which were written by the internationally acclaimed novelist, Chimamanda Adichie. Victor Ehikhamenor has also held many exhibitions and won several awards for his work in the field of arts, also emerging in 1st place in the Arts Club of Washington Juried Exhibition in the year 2000.
